    I was the guilty party who put together several of the databases for the 
    Tangent DSC units  (Lumicon "Sky Vector" models and Celestron 
    "AstroMaster") quite a number of years back.  Variations of these 
    databases are found in several more recent units.  It took quite a bit 
    of effort to both select the 662 or so objects on the non-stellar list 
    (all objects I had observed) and to gather all the data on the objects.   
    If anyone has questions on a specific list you're welcome to contact me
